As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to illustrate children’s books. I can remember standing in my Granny’s kitchen telling her that’s what I wanted to do. Either that or be Minnie Mouse, the latter being a harder goal to achieve perhaps…

After successfully graduating from Southampton University with a degree in Illustration, my career path took an unexpected turn into the fashion and beauty industry where I worked for several years as a producer in London organising Ecommerce photoshoots.

It was, however, shortly after the birth of my son and our move to the north, I rediscovered my joy and passion for Illustration. I decided to take a picture book course with Orange Beak Studios, which was soon followed by insightful tutorials with the talented Maisie Paradise Sherring. These experiences encouraged my ongoing experimentation and honed my skills in observational drawing. To further enhance my skills and knowledge for the industry, I actively participate in various talks and workshops. Additionally, I have recently enrolled in a business course with Good Ship Illustration to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the industry in which I work.
